One Craftsman. Years of Skill.

B Bishop Originals was founded in 2020 by Bill Bishop, a retired builder and craftsman living in Eagle, Idaho. What started as a simple gift—building a log cabin lamp for a friend’s restored cabin in Red Lodge, Montana—turned into something more: a hands-on creative outlet rooted in nature, heritage, and craftsmanship.

Before moving to Idaho, Bill lived in Montana, where he built a log cabin along the Yellowstone River and restored an authentic sheep wagon. Today, those same skills and stories show up in every piece he builds—whether it’s a log cabin lamp, a tipi-style shade, or a wall-mounted 3D cabin scene.

Most materials come straight from his surroundings along the Boise River. Roof shingles are cut from Russian Olive trees. River stones and willow twigs become design details. Lamp bases are made from fallen trees gathered on his own property.

Why He Builds

Bill is retired but never idle. Creating rustic lighting and wall art lets him stay active, creative, and connected with people who appreciate the same things he does—fishing, cabin life, vintage materials, and custom craftsmanship.
He enjoys collaborating with clients who want something personal, whether it’s a lamp built from a fishing creel or a scene that reflects the woods around their cabin.
